New Kindle December 2, 2008 So far the Kindle seems like a great thing. I am still studying the directions but one thing I see it can use would be a backlight. I think that would be very helpful in many ways.I feel I have to read and then go back to find what to do but practice makes perfect..Looking forward to ordering my first book also...Moe
Most Awesome Thing I Own! December 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I saw it on Oprah and had to have it. I love to read, that's why I bought it. But I was pleasantly surprised by lots of other features I didn't know I was getting. Like the basic web browser. It's not the best but it definitely comes in handy. The look-up mode is nice to. Anyway, I'm glad I got mine.
They stand by the product! December 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had the Kindle now for 3 months, and the best part of it is that it is easy on the eyes. I did have a problem with the screen in the first month, but after talking to customer service, i had a new one the next day! That is standing by your product.

Very satisfied. Exellent customer service. Only thing that I don't like is the fact that they discontinued the kindle now now service. That was wonderful.Happy enough all the way around still.
I love the Kindle December 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband is usually the one who has and wants all the high tech NEW things. I have always just wanted a simple cell phone, a cheap Laptop, a simple Ipod. But when I seen the Kindle, I had to have it. I did see it on Oprah but did alot of my own research before buying. It is the greatest thing for avid readers like me. I have had my Kindle for about 3 weeks and have read about 3-4 books already. I have downloaded quite a few more that I have not yet read. Everything about this device is wonderful. The one thing I do though is when I'm home or have my laptop, I go on the computer to Amazon and search books. It can take alot of time looking up books on the Kindle but I do when I am away from a computer. And alot of the books are anywhere from 3-5 dollars. I paid $2.71 for one the other day. If you love to read and like me and my husband, spend hours and tons of money in the bookstores, the Kindle is for you. My husband does Flight Inspection for the FAA and flies every other week. So far he has not asked for my Kindle, so I may have to buy him his own.
