I am very pleased with the kindle. It worked great right out of the box. The only drawback is that it needs a more secure cover.

I'm a person of few words so if you don't like summaries, go elsewhere for your info.
Likes - word lookup, ease of ordering and searching for books, can customize text size, saves the page I'm reading so when I return to the book I'm ready to go, 100% better than carrying a book, stays charged for a week, no big deal to plug in, really like the free book samples, fast and easy book download
The best gift my husband of 30 years has gotten for me ! Love it
Opportunities - Kindle slips around in the cover, page forward and backward buttons don't leave room to grasp the side, 9.99 is pricey for a download, not easy to find how to delete entries (free samples aren't needed after purchasing the book)

I have the Kindle. I do like it. But if I dont keep it in the case holding it is sort of hard as I always turn the page or revert back a page. But I love it. There is great support and I am still learning so much about it. I would recommend this for everyone.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I have come to like this device in the last two weeks (which is how long I've had it.) The pictures of it online and the video demo does NOT do it justice. Buy it, consider it, and then you will probably keep it. Really.
(But don't use the book cover -- bad design. Trust me. Get a different carrier.)
You can also buy different "skins" to cover over the "whiteness" of the Kindle if you want something that looks a little more spiffy or to just jaz up the look a little. Just Google the info on the web and you will find it without much difficulty.

wonderful product, enhances the pleasure of reading...features such as variable font size, built in dictionary and others I have not yet used add to the reading experience. Hopefully many more books will be added. The page numbering system is not understandable, which is a bit annoying, so please explain it.
