3 out of 5 stars Disappointing from a 24 fan point of view   November 23, 2006
6 out of 8 found this review helpful

As a fan of the show and a person raised without religion, I was interested in what kind of points and parallels the author would try to make. The author's tone was amusing and informal. Unfortunately, I found the format to be confusing and the logic hard to follow. Perhaps that's because I'm not that familiar with the religion, but it did seem to be more of a Christian faith book with a few lines from the show rather than a true investigation of the show with regard to faith.

5 out of 5 stars Real Time Faith Builder   October 10, 2006

Like the action in 24, the hit TV show, the recounting of it by Tim Wesemann, masterful storyteller, gets my adrenaline pumping! From the action of those vignettes about a virtual savior, Tim then shifts his focus to the cross and the REAL Savior--who acts in our "real" time and gives us adrenaline-pumping hope and confidence for all our "bad days." That focus is biblical, heartfelt, revealing, and inspiring. That focus is on the real action...Christ's...that affects our "real" time far beyond a single day. In fact, it impacts our eternity!

4 out of 5 stars A Bad Day Can Turn Good   October 6, 2006

The struggles of every day life, like what to believe, who to trust, and how to make a difference; are explored with a new twist... what if your life and the life of others depended upon your response. This book takes you under the surface of 24 and into the life changing events of every day faith.

The chapters correspond with an 'hour' so I've been reading a chapter each night. Don't miss it -- for in reality, your life really does depend upon how you respond!

5 out of 5 stars Real-time Faith   October 6, 2006

This book surprised me. The parallel with T.V. fiction and the bad day situations that can and do leave us feeling out of control require faith action, moment by moment! My favorite thing aside from the fast-pace and intrigue by comparison, is that the author constantly shares truth, not fiction, that Jesus is 24/7 on call. Great tool in sharing faith, Real-time.
