Lasted 9 months September 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After 9 months of use, an audible "snap" was heard; the clippers no longer cut hair although the motor still works. Although still under warrentee, I elected to instead purchase a set of quality Oster clippers (Oster Fast Feed, about twice the cost of the Andis clippers.)
Pros: Case and attachments are nice. A lot of features for cost. Cons: Not a high-quality product. I expect a set of clippers to last a decade or more.
Exceeds my expectations! August 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This set replaces a Wahl clipper set I had for many years. This unit is so much quieter! The kids seem to like getting a cut now! The speed of these clippers exceeds my expectations at this price point! The packaging is decent, and convenient to store all the items back into. As for the DVD, not much to say about it (mine had no audio). Overall a good choice.

Love these clippers June 3, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought these clippers to cut my 16 month old twins hair. These clippers are the best. They cut through my boys fine hair perfectly and are quiet enough not to bother my boys.
Think twice before going to a hair salon April 8, 2007 $30+ for a Men's haircut is ridiculous. I purchased this hair cut kit to see if I could match the haircut I usually get at my hair salon. It just so happens I beat my hair salon. I look better than ever. No more going to the salon for me. I didn't use all the attachments. I only used the 3/8 attachment to shave the sides and back. It was really smooth and fast. I found the left & right taper attachments useless. I didn't need the blending attachment either. I used to have a Wahl and I couldn't cut my hair due to the excessive vibrating of the motor. This clipper has little vibration. Actually, I didn't even notice the vibration as I continued to shave the back of head.
For the top, I used scissors. I used the scissors that came with this set and I can honestly say it was OK. Not as sharp as I would have liked.
The only negative to the kit is the instruction sheet and DVD. The instruction sheet didn't tell me everything I needed to know to cut my hair. Didn't matter though, I was able to get a good cut. I used David Beckham as my hair cutting template lol. The dvd was hilarious. It shows a kid from 1989 getting his head shaved. The kid's probably 40 years old now. It also show a girl getting a haircut. I don't recommend a girl to use clippers, unless you want to look like Britney Spears.
Overall, it was a very good experience for me. This was the first time cutting my own hair and I will continue to save money by cutting my own hair. I already broke even after just one use......and I have a David Bechham haircut.
