What a workout! July 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My daughter is allergic to any products that contain fragrance. I recently started using their fragrance free shampoos and conditioners for her and liked them so much, I decided to try this product for sun protection. While it comes out of the tub quickly enough resembling a nice smooth cream, the consistancy I can only compare to Elmer's Glue. It took me forever, no exageration, to apply this product to my daughter and even then, it did not absorb quickly and left a milky "haze" on her skin. It refused to go on smoothly and evenly. I tried even rubbing it between my hands thinking this would perhaps make application go more smoothly but no such luck. I love California Baby products and will continue using them but for this one, I think I'll pass and try the TruKid instead.
May have propylparaben = coral bleaching May 26, 2008 3 out of 9 found this review helpful
Was looking for a sunscreen that wouldn't contribute to bleaching of the coral reefs. I was all excited to find this until I saw that it possibly has "parabens" (propylparaben to be exact) which contribute to coral bleaching. Gonna get this when our baby comes along, but for now, I can't use it to snorkel in Hawai'i. :( Badger sunscreen it is!
Works great! April 21, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Just got back from FL with my little one and this SPF worked great. No need to reapply after the pool, and one application worked all day. It is a thicker product as some people mention and does leave a slight "shine" to the skin but it helps me know where we put it and helps make sure I didn't miss a spot. Just a note, it is PARABEAN free, unlike what some posters mentioned and it did not sting the baby's eyes when it got wet. We are buying more soon because I do apply it every morning when he gets changed just like a regular lotion.
cal baby spf 30 sunscreen August 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
great product. provides full coverage. it has a bit of a pinkish shade when applied which raises questions from other kids. i like it bc i am able to see where i've applied it. more expensive but well worth it. will buy again. rated great on skin deep.
Amazing Product! May 28, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I started using this product about 3 years ago when my daughter was first born. Hands down this is the most effective and safest sunscreen on the market for children and babies. The white residue on the skin is part of the minerals that they use to deflect harmful UV rays and is OK by me. My daughter thinks it is fairy dust and she loves putting it on. I personally like the thick texture because it makes me notice areas that I may have missed. If you have any doubt in your mind about this sunscreen please check out the extensive database at [..]on personal care products.
