Nice... May 11, 2008 Finally, the DUALSHOCK3 is what Sony should've launched long ago with the launch of the PS3. It feels heavier and more secure to handle than the normal SIXAXIS. The plastic isn't see-through like the SIXAXIS as well.
My concern was the battery life, since it's using more power for the feedback, and thankfully it didn't disappoint me. The battery cycle lasts almost the same as a normal SIXAXIS would. The feedback is not that powerful yet not weak; somewhere in the middle. But not bad at all.
Gives your new games a better experience and refreshes your old ones (if supported of course) :)
PS3 Dualshock Controller May 9, 2008 Just as advertised. Much better than the regular 6axis b/c it actually has weight to it. Feels just like the good ole PS2 controller.
Ohhh yea its back! May 9, 2008 It may have took a little over a year but Sony finally released a true PS3 controller. One of the things I like about the DS3 is that it seems much more sturdier and durable unlike the cheap feeling six-axis. I am currently playing gta4 and the rumble works great in it. The only downside is that not every game supports the rumble like Call of Duty 4 but that doesn't matter to me that much because the feel is what brings it all together for me. It's everything I hoped for in a controller.
Way Better then the Regular SixAxis May 9, 2008 Games that support Dual Shock 3, are just 10 Times More Enjoyable with "Rumble".
Once you Try a Dual Shock 3 controller, you won't want to go back to Regular old SixAxis.
I Highly Recommend this product.
Rumble is back! May 9, 2008 I almost forgot how well Sony did rumble, but now the Dualshock 3 has reminded me of how good use of rumble can add to the enjoyment of a game. I'm pretty impressed with how many games support the rumble feature when the base PS3 never had it until now. It is definitely worth a purchase and will easily become your primary PS3 controller from here on out.
