sports cap November 19, 2008 Good Product, only complaint is the cap, which isn't as tight as it could be. Such a quality product should not be defined by the inadequacy of an accessory.
Love the bottle November 19, 2008 Great item. keeps the water cold for a while. the sport caps is alittle annoying but works great. i really have nothing else to say. I would recommend this to anyone.
my water tastes like metal November 17, 2008 This product strikes me as over-priced and underperforming, and benefiting from considerable hype and marketing.
So someone bought several of these for our family and i used one several times. It makes my water taste metallic. And not just a little bit, but strikingly so. You might as well pour philadelphia municipal water into these babies - it won't taste any worse.
Just reuse an aquafina or deerpark plastic bottle. You can even wash these plastics on the top rack and they don't have bpa. Lightweight strong easily closed. Or you can buy a big stainless camping canteen for 5-10 dollars.
Green Health! November 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Klean Kanteen's are the answer to pure water and eco-friendly use. This is high quality food-grade stainless steel and does not leach and is toxin free. Plastic containers can leach toxins like 'Bisphenol A' which is linked to cancer. These Klean Kanteens are now very lightweight, so their is no need to camp, hike or bike with plastic bottles anymore. The cap is tight with a small plastic seal and a convenient loop handle.
They are a little more expensive than plastic bottles, but when your health is concerned, there is no other option. Go stainless steel. Think Green!
A good investment November 17, 2008 These bottles are well made, lightweight, sturdy, dependable and they can really take a beating. When you're done playing around with plastic bottles, treat yourself to a Kleen Kanteen. I have another stainless steel bottle from a well-known manufacturer, and I definitely rate the KK higher overall.
As for the reviewers who are shocked to find the KK isn't insulated, well, it says that in the product description. Maybe it bears repeating: in order to make the bottle as compact and lightweight as possible, there is no insulation.
