1 out of 5 stars Advantage Ordered from AbsolutelyPets   May 18, 2008

While I know Advantage works perfectly, as I've used it before, I decided to order through Amazon, and specifically AbsolutelyPets, and wouldn't you know it, I just found a flea on my couch. Not only did they send me the wrong amount (thankfully, so I could get a partial refund for this non-working substance) it wasn't in the box, and I"m pretty convinced it's fake, since it hasn't worked at all. And now I get to go out and buy it from a REPUTABLE place, and will spread the word that AbsolutelyPets is AbsolutelyAwful.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent End to the Fleas   March 3, 2008
To put it simply, Advantage is fast acting and very powerful. My cats got fleas from the new house I moved into and suffered due to them. The biggest problem aside from the irritation from bites was the dander and skin problems that arose from the fleas. After a single treatment, I stopped seeing fleas within 2 days and the skin problems were gone within the next few. This product is of course for inside cats only. My only complaint is that in its curent container it is a little difficult to apply on long haired cats. It is also a little pricey at retailers, but online it is cheaper you just have to wait for it to arrive. All in all an excellent choice for flea extermination.

5 out of 5 stars Great flea control   February 22, 2008
This Product works best for my cats. The product was delivered promptly and in good condition.

5 out of 5 stars The BEST!   February 15, 2008
Okay...read the reviews.

Folks...one tube of Advantage is supposed to only last a month. Using consistently will keep the fleas off your kittens and cats. You may think the fleas are gone but those eggs can be in the carpet, your vacuum cleaner etc. And eggs are harder to kill

Advantage works WWWAAAAYYY better than Frontline. I feel bad for the user who had a resistant flea ick. My friends and I all own cats and this is it!

5 out of 5 stars simply the best flea product out there   February 6, 2008

If you're looking for a flea product that effectively kills fleas and keeps new ones from hopping on driving your cat crazy, this is the product for you.

Here's what I like about it:
1) it's been around longer than some of the products everyone's touting now. That's important to me because I'm a bit leery of the ones that just came out; I'd like to have a few years behind something, a few years in which the manufacturer can spot new problems, a few years in which consumers can rave or rant about the product. To me, while nothing is 100% guaranteed, that means that my cats are less likely to have reactions that I can't predict.

2) it's a simple product. It kills fleas. Period. It doesn't battle every insect or parasite known in the veterinary community. If I need something that kills worms, I'll find a separate product and check its safety and efficacy first. Ditto all the stuff my cats aren't likely ever to need: tick protection, etc. My vet kept touting Frontline Plus because of the tick prevention aspect, and I just kept saying, why should I spent $20 more for something my cat doesn't need? I haven't even seen a tick in my area in 30 years!

3) my cats react well to Advantage, but they scratch and get greasy with Frontline.

4) the cost of this product is very reasonable. If I'm cash poor, I get the size for larger cats and split the doses, but that's not something the manufacturer recommends. I checked, however, and the ingredient is the same and in the same concentration, so I take the risk on myself. So far, no adverse reactions when I split the larger dose.

5) this is the only product that works the length of time it's supposed to. I get a minimum of one month of protection from each tiny tube, and sometimes two doses per cat is all I need for the late spring/summer flea nightmare.
