Doxie Bed May 8, 2008 My new Dachshund LOVES the bed. He loves curling up in it and watching TV with me. Great bed, would recommend it for anyone with a small dog!
Can't get the dog out of it! :-) May 3, 2008 I bought this as a "Welcome to the Family!" gift for my folks' new dog, who is mostly rat terrier with some whippet (to give you an idea of his size). According to them, he just LOVED it from day one. That's where he sleeps all night, snug as a bug. It's summertime now, but I imagine that with his short coat (and we all live in a northern climate), he'll love it even more in the winter.
Even though I paid $39.99 (and not the $17.99 it's on sale for at the moment.... ARRRGH!), I have to admit it was still worth every penny.
Great bed for its price, but... April 16, 2008 I do realize it's a burrow bed, but when I bought this I expected the flap to somehow stand up on its own a little better? My cat (who is old and arthritic) loves this bed but she doesn't burrow into it, she simply sleeps on top of it. So I am going to need to find some wire and somehow rig it so the flap stays open and she can sleep in it the right way.
Burrow Beds April 13, 2008 We have 3 dachshunds and burrowing beds are their favorite. We've purchased 8 of these beds over the past few years; they are soft, snuggly and easy to wash. I only wish they sold the inserts separately because they wear out before the cover.
The next best thing if they can't be under the covers next to you April 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 6 pound long haired, miniature dachsund loves to crawl under the hood of this bed. Her first choice, is of course, to be under the bed covers and pressed up against me. But, if you have to sometimes be out of your bed and away from your pet, this is a nice alternative. It won't close completely over them like covers will, but they can burrow under the hood and have some warmth and privacy a regular bed won't allow.
