Don't buy for ExoticsSeptember 22, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
They seem to work ok for regular plants but I used one for my orchid and it killed it because it over watered it. The leaves turned yellow and fell off. Don't believe the commercial when it says they are good for exotic plants.

i tried these and they didn't work. i followed the directions-several times- to no avail. the water just pours out all at once even after i had just soaked the plant. so tried just sticking the globe into the dirt. i figured the end would get plugged with dirt but maybe the water would pass ever so slowly through the plug. it didn't. some of my friends have these and theirs don't work either.

These are working so well in my plants! I used to never have plants in my home, as I didn't have a green thumb and just couldn't get used to the different watering schedules. These globes have made it so simple and my two plants are thriving.

The aqua globes work like they are supposed to. The plant doesn't get too much or too little water. They are a bit hard to fill because the neck is narrow.

I was a little skeptical but these have made a believer out of me. I was constantly over watering my plants. What a difference these have made in all of my indoor plants. Now I just fill the globe and watch it do its work. About once a week on most plants it will need to be refilled. I have a couple that require about every third day to be refilled. What an invention.
