| Customer Reviews:
great duel purpose September 1, 2008 I got this for my daughter who is going to college to major in music. It is a great little instrument. I already had a Korg tuner for my other daughter who plays violin. We liked that one so well, that we decided to go for the Korg tuner/metronone when my older daughter needed a new metronome. We are very satisfied with it also.
Good bargain September 1, 2008 I like the tuner-metronome combination, since both together is cheaper than 2 separate instruments. I wish I had known of this before I bought my stand alone tuner. The only thing that I wish this had is a visual indication (maybe a separate different colored led) that would flash on the "1" count of each measure to match the different tone emitted. This metronome only has 2 leds that alternately flash with each beat.
It hears music in its head July 29, 2008 The Korg TM-40, like its sibling CA-40, can do a fine job of tuning. However, there are times that the needle will move to a tune of its own even when there is no guitar plucking anywhere in the vicinity. It will go back and forth, sometimes for 30 seconds or so. Other times, it will not register any note! Very strange indeed. Perhaps Korg needs to work on the circuits and fix this quirky problem.
Best price online! July 26, 2008 If you know any professional instrumentalists (or even serious students), you don't need me to tell you that is one of the "must have" tuners. It is easy to use, accurate and light enough to carry anywhere. We looked at several sites, but Amazon had the best price when you considered shipping fees as part of total price. It has already been used extensively with no problems.
