My husband has been wanting a cooling fan for his laptop for a long time. After much research, I found this item to be what he was looking for. The built in USB ports are great and allows you to free up the ones on your laptop. The fan makes hardly any noise at all. All the extras you get with this product are great too. He is very pleased with this item as I was with the price.

The product dimensions says it is 13" wide. It is only 11 1/2, so it did not fit my lap top. I wrote eforcity and asked for a replacement if they had one or at least to be reimbursed for shipping since the product was not as described. Got no response for a week. Finally wrote again and got a form letter saying my return would be processed in 9 to 13 days, no offer to refund shipping.

While I like the extra ports on the device (USB and card readers), the fans on y unit blow toward the laptop and do little to draw away the heat of my macBook pro (it kicks off a lot of heat in the back left corner near the power supply versus the middle where this cools). It being plastic, there is no radiant benefit and it seems a bit flimsy. For the money, not bad, just probably better with laptops that get hot in the center.

This product is very light weight, quiet and does an excellent job at keeping my computer cool. We liked it so much we bought one for our second laptop. Cannot give this item enough praise and for the price...a great deal.
