Samsonite Micro Mover September 23, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am an airline pilot and often find myself lugging my heavy chartcase to and from different airports around the country. I have been bringing my roll-aboard (overnight bag) for the sole purpose of acting as a cart to carry my chart case on those days I don't even have an overnight. I purchased the Samsonite Micro Mover for many reasons. It folds up to be very compact and extends easily to a decent height for someone as tall as me. (I am 6'2"). It is very light and portable. It is absolutely...well... perfect for toting around the chart case for those local and day trips. Thanks aaahhh, .. Swenson, ... Simpy .. S S Swanny... Swinson.. ah, Swan..Swanson?? OH SAMSONITE!!! I was way off! :)
WD-40 solves problem September 5, 2008 I found that it was very difficult to pull the handle in step 3 of the helpful review (see below). I was concerned with breaking the plastic part. Finally I gave it a big yank and it folded. When I sprayed a little WD-40 on the two silver colored locking bolts that protrude from plastic part it folds very easily. If the WD-40 (other lubricants also should work) were applied before the unit is unfolded for the first the initial difficulty in pulling the handle could have been avoided.
HELPFUL REVIEW: 1. Fold the feet up into the legs by pressing the silver button down by the hinge of each foot. 2. Press the button on the handle to collapse it down, but do not push it all the way down. If you do collapse it all the way down, the button will pop up. Push the button down and the handle will pop up a little. 3. With the name and logo facing you, pull the handle towards you so that it pops out of the frame and comes toward you. (The cart is locked in position if the handle was pushed all the way down, so the top button must be pressed to loosen the handle). 4. The wheels will fold inward and the handle will pivot down between the legs. 5. With the feet in the frame, they will tuck in under the shell at the top and fit in the notches of the handle on the bottom. 6. Push the handle down to lock the carrier in the closed position and stretch the bungee cords around the cart.
samsonite micro mover luggage cart - don't waste your money August 31, 2008 This luggage cart is a waste of money. It wobbles terribly and the strap to secure your luggage must be manually resized each time it is used. An elastic bungee-cord type would be much more helpful.
Flimsy Piece of Junk! August 9, 2008 I weighed the items I put on this, 45lbs. One duffel and two medium camera bags, all were within carry-on size restrictions. The included cord wouldn't hold the items, I had to add two of the Masterlock cords shown on the product page. I had to bend over, the handle is to short for me. Don't even think about going up a curb let alone stairs, the whole thing tips over on its side. The wheels kept getting caught somehow on moving sidewalks, I had to stand still. The handle started bending and became loose. I almost threw it out before I got home, but I waited.
Wow, awesome, great this product does the job! August 7, 2008 I love this Samsonite compact luggage carrier. Easy to open, easy to close, and so easy to wheel around. I used this product in Washington D.C. for the Ron Paul March. I was doing some fundraising and I wheeled this bad boy down Constitution Ave. and even wheeled it through the grass on Capitol Hill. The best part about it was once I was done with it I could put it in my backpack. For those of you that are reading this review google Ron Paul and Wake Up. Happy adventures.
