quality sound October 21, 2008 I have a mid-sized SUV and it is also a new car. The factory stereo sytem in the car was plenty loud but didnt bring the quality bass level i was looking for. I was able to install this system in about 3-4 hours and you can wire it into your existing factory head unit. It delivers ample bass and isn't too loud where the whole neighborhood knows you have it.(I live in St. Louis and people are always jackin' stereo systems) I only run it at about 50% power but thats about where it peaks out. So all-in-all A good system, good price, and easy install.
Wow! September 14, 2008 This powered subwoofer sounds incredible for what it costs. It's well worth the money paid. High quality materials used in it's construction. The installation/setup instructions are clear and easy to understand as long as you have some background in electricity/wiring. The included remote for bass level makes it an even better product. This lets you adjust the bass level from the drivers seat. I usually decrease the bass level for FM radio listening as opposed to CD's. Please remember to purchase a Amplifier wiring kit also. You will need it to wire the subwoofer to your stereo and battery.
Adds Deep Bass To Any Setup September 10, 2008 I have four 5 1/4 Infinity speakers in my car and before I installed the Basslink there was little to no bass. The unit throws out PLENTY of bass. I listen to all kinds of music and the Basslink enhances the sound of everything from hip-hop to jazz. The 200-watts might throw you off but it is enough power to blast your stereo at full volume without distortion of low end sound. This unit definitely packs a punch and is well worth the money. You can read as many reviews as you want but you simply must hear the Basslink to believe it.
Out of warranty Out of boom September 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As with most other reviews I found this sub to an impressive little guy. It is built well on the outside, it comes with multiple mounts for horizontal or vertical mounting and the remote db gain is nice. After a good bit of research like others, I decided this was the one for my needs. Again like most I was looking to fill out the lows not anger the neighbors. I am past that now just as the need for huge bass. Now for the truth. Most reviews are shortly after the purchase with the exception of the last post. Which I might add that I am happy for him and his speaker's longevity. I however cannot make that statement. Let me start by saying I take care not to abuse electronics or motors, it's kind of weird but if you are taking the time to read these reviews I think you understand. It seemed that the day my warranty expired so did my trusty sub. So off to contacting Infinity. Well good luck with that. I thought there were synonymous with great customer service, you know being in Lexus's and all that. Well that just is not true. I can't tell you how poorly I was treated. Really it was just lack of any treatment really. I am in the market for a new one now and it won't be basslink.
worth the money July 27, 2008 Having owned this for a couple years, I'm still impressed every time I listen to it. It's not an overpowering thump, thump type of subwoofer - tuned correctly, it just adds another dimension to the sound. I installed this in my Mazda van in front of the 3rd row seats - the sound meshes in quite well, though I do need to use the remote volume control quite often due to different source mixes. Very happy - would highly recommend.
