4 out of 5 stars Cool Stand   October 14, 2008
I have went though several laptop stands before purchasing the Griffin Curv2. I like this stand, it collapses into a small convenient storage space in my laptop bag for when I travel, and I travel a lot, it matches my mac 17 pro perfectly, and it gives the effect as if my mac is floating, my only gripe is after massive usage, the two rubber stoppers on the clear base have come off, but a little crazy glue did the trick. I have read other reviews, where laptops have fallen off of this stand, but I have never had this problem, and I bump the table often, I'm very clumsy. This stand is very sturdy and a great bargain. Just make sure when you move it around you check for the rubber stoppers....

5 out of 5 stars A Great and actually usable item   October 12, 2008
I really love the Griffin Elevator. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It lifts my 15 inch Apple MBP well off the desk. I have had it for about 3-4 weeks and I am really loving it!!

4 out of 5 stars Convenient Stand, but a Little Slippery   September 23, 2008

The stand is sleek and convenient, but I have had the laptop slide off a few times (I use a 17" MacBook Pro). The key is to position the laptop on the stand with about an inch of the grippy pad on the top sticking out, so the weight is distributed onto the back of the stand more evenly. I definitely like the way the stand looks, but it is a bit pricey considering how simple a piece of "equipment" it is. Ask yourself if you wouldn't rather just stack up some books?

5 out of 5 stars very useful product!   September 22, 2008
I've been using this laptop stand for my 15' Macbook Pro for the last few months. Initially I was just looking to elevate my computer to create more table space. After using this, I have found many benefits from having this stand.
1) Elevates the laptop and creates a little more space on your table if you needed to do some writing.
2) Keeps the laptop cooler since it allows airflow on the bottom of the computer
3) I've found that my sitting posture has changed drastically, and my back doesn't hurt after sitting at my table for a long period of time.
4) Allows me to type from an external keyboard that sits nicely under the stand when not in use.

The stand is small and can be easily put away. My 15' laptop sits pretty nicely on it. I was worried in the beginning after reading some reviews about the computer sliding down the rubber, but it has been pretty secure so far.

I recall the ad saying "new" keyboard. It came very used and unclean.
