Use the Kindle as a Web Browser! July 5, 2008 If it is your intent to use your Kindle as a Google web browser, this is for you. If not, save your money, even if it is only $2. I use an Iphone. I have full web browser portability, send email, text message, etc. I haver no use for my Kindle in those tasks. I bought this text hoping to get more information on the toggling functions of the unit. No such luck! From this paper, I learned: How to view the time on the Kindle; how to use the ALT/x key functions for various duties but those are covered in the miniscule manual included with the Kindle; and I learned how to better secure the kindle into it's jacket. That's it. I still don't how to use the page toggles effectively as I'm constantly toggling away from my page accidentally and then can't get back. As I said, if you need Google web browser and Gmail capability, this is for you. Otherwise, just send me the $2.

Gets you started with loads of useful information July 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As soon as I bought the Kindle I picked this book up. It let me understand the 'hidden' capabilities of Kindle. For example, I use the slideshow feature of Kindle described in this book immediately to turn the pages automatically for me when I am working out on a bike or a treadmill. To give me enough time to read the page while working out I set the font size to be maximum. I listen to the music while working out with Kindle as well. For someone who just bought Kindle, this book will get you started quickly and serves as a quick reference in the Kindle. I use the search feature of Kindle to hit the information in the ebook whenever I want to lookup. Highly recommend buying this book, for this price you will not regret it.
Not What I was Hoping For June 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am extremely disappointed in this pamphlet. I recently purchased a Kindle (which I love, by the way)and wish to know about everything it can do. This 'book' seemed like it would be worth a try, particularly since it was marked down from $4.95 to 99 cents. How can you go wrong on 99 cents, right? (Although today I see the price is $2.39.??) I found this to have only one chapter (I believe it was #12)that had anything even vaguely helpful. I now know how to play Minesweeper! There were a few other tips, but the majority of the beginning chapters were more or less a screed for the Kindle. Also, if you want to self publish for the Kindle it could be helpful indeed. I feel somewhat mislead - where were the '100 pages of other cool tips'. Highly misleading.
Helpful but complicated June 28, 2008 I thought this book was helpful, but very complicated. It helped me understand my kindle much better.
