a poor job August 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
No, I'm not going to make the usual silly complaint that people make when they buy a Schaum's Outline: that it's not comprehensive. Of course it's not: it's just an outline. However, even as an outline this one leaves a lot to be desired. The theory summaries are poorly presented. These authors are not exactly a hit when it comes to putting ideas across. A lot of extra concepts and formulas are necessary for you to tackle the problems. Even the solved problems show this clearly. Chapter 2, for instance, is a big mess. A better book might be Chemistry: Concepts and Problems
