If you are new to eBay and common sense March 6, 2006 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is a great book if you lack common sense or judgement deficiency. And this is the 2nd edition. Consider the book eBay the RIght Way instead.

Lots of tips and trickes, only thing I didn't liek is that some were repeated using different words. Definetly worth every penny though. A+
A ridiculous book, "author" making money from ill-informed sellers July 3, 2005 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
This book is just ridiculous. The "author" came to the eBay Community Boards and basically asked for advice to add to his book. It didn't matter what advice was given or the status/knowledge level of the person who gave it, as long as it filled up more space in his book. Case in point, there are many (too many) blurbs by Big_pink_starfish, a seller who specializes in selling trading cards that are not in high demand. The seller loses money on every single auction she has b/c she has a store, has "extras" on her auctions that cost money, yet sells each item for a quarter AND takes payment by Paypal which is a .30 +2.9 charge for every payment made. She is in the hole every time a sale is made yet this is a "Master". Other blurbs come from those who admit they have never sold a thing on eBay before. These tips are supposed to be from the most successful sellers and buyers? Obviously no research was done on the background of those quoted.
Take my advice, don't buy the book, go the eBay forums yourself and anyone with half a brain can tell the knowledgeable sellers from those who just take up space.
Valuable info January 28, 2005 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
Granted, I'm one of the contributors, but I found many nuggets worth reading! Even after being an eBay seller for 6 years and an avid visitor to eBay's discussion boards, I know I still have much to learn. Of course, this will be most valuable to newbies, but I'm sure an experienced eBayer will find this book useful! Sally
Concise Information January 11, 2005 9 out of 16 found this review helpful
The great thing about this book is that even though you can find this infirmation on eBay in the forum, the book has weeded out the duplicated and often unrelated materials. Have you been to the boards? If there is a thread of more than 20, it gets a bit annoying to read them all. Then there are the people who enter a thread just for the sake of seeing their own words captured on the web, no matter how inane or unrelated! I find any book on eBay that can provide me with even one new idea is well worth the investment and this one provided me with quite a few. And for the people who have under 100 feedback (that was one of the complaints in one of the negative reviews), they might have another eBay name which they do not use on the boards and the name they hide is the Powerseller name.
