Well Written - Provides A Good Foundation October 14, 2008 Motivational, enjoyable and easy to read. This book provides a wide range of useful information for someone getting into blogging for the first time or for someone who has basic experience blogging and is now ready to take it to the next level.
The sections on starting up your blog and creating quality content were very helpful and well written. Excellent guidance on structuring blog posts and other content.
One area that seemed rather short on concrete detail was blog traffic and the impact of relative levels of traffic on the success of the blog, especially with regards to monetization.
Some advertising systems require at minimum of 10,000 pageviews per day, some dramatically more, before allowing you to run their ads on your blog. Even Google's AdSense program is not without its challenges. Level setting on blog traffic for blog newbies with some real world examples would have been helpful.
Overall, the authors did an excellent job and I would strongly recommend ProBlogger as a starting point to anyone new to blogging or looking to monetize an existing blog.
Blog Your Brain October 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great step by step guide about what it takes to make money in blogging. It's a slow process and this is reinforced throughout the text. No secret formulas but great instructions on how to succeed. It takes work folks - sad but true. Well written and an easy read. Recommended for internet marketers, writers and bloggers and anyone thinkning about starting a blog. Read this first.
Powerful and Realistic Approach to Blogging September 30, 2008 My review of this product is that it's very informative and helpful in regards to the blogging world. It stays true to a point that it's not a get rich quick book but more of a methodical way to approach blogging, make some money, and even make a living from doing so.
Unlike most e-books or get rich quick books, this book doesn't fill with the reader with fantasy numbers and thoughts that riches will befall upon them within moments of getting started with blogging. What it does offer is step by step plans to get moving on what the reader wants to accomplish, achieve, and finding out the topics that they would be most compatible to blog about. It also explains various differences between personal blogging and network blogging.
Overall: 5 Stars, I highly recommend this purchase if interested in the blogging world.
"Amateur Blogger" How to trick people into buying book September 23, 2008 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
Blogging your way to six figure income? Interesting that the book uses this title since there is a whole section in the book about how to grab attention to the title of a blog to trick readers into clicking on it. That, according to the book is how you will make six figures. If you have never heard of a blog - never read a blog - never started a blog (which by the way takes 5 minutes)...this is the book for you.
Excellent resource for blogging September 16, 2008 I have read many books and ebooks on making money blogging and this book is by far the most noteworthy. This book is not like many that are more fluff than anything else. Darren's book is packed with great advice and information that will make you successful if you stick to his methods. Learn from the best, I always say! This book has helped me a great deal with www.ezmoney.money-moguls.com.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about blogging and making money online.
