Depending on usage and water conditions, it is recommended that the cartridges be replaced every 2 weeks. The filter cartridge should be removed and checked at least once a week. It can be partially cleaned by rinsing off with a garden hose. it said "intex krystal clear" but when i opened the box the filter said o'rageous. They lied to me. i dont know how good it works cause i just got it.

Filters were just as good as the W-mart ones but 1/2 the price including shipping. Can't go wrong.
