This pump is definitely better than the model 635 that came with my pool but there are a few things you should be aware of. First, air gets stuck in the pump section when you first install it and the only way to get it out is to turn the pump almost upside down so the air goes into the filter where it can be bled off. I had to repeat this process 3 times to get it to start pumping. Second, my pool came with the surface skimmer and a vacuum accessories. This pump almost has too much suction for the skimmer and when you hook the vacuum to it, the hose collapses. That's the reason I upgraded, more vacuum power. I'm hoping my pool store will have something better that I can make to work with this pump.

We bought this for our 24'x52" above ground intex pool and it works great, we also purchased a saltwater filter. The pump that came with our pool didn't really move the water around well enough. Using this pump in conjunction with our saltwater filter has greatly reduced the amount of time used to maintain our pool.

This was the perfect pump for my INTEX above ground 18x48 pool. The pump is very porwerful and keeps the pool sparkling clean. Its been two weeks and i haven't even had to vacuum yet. The hoses and connections are all compatible as well. Setup time was less than 5 minutes. The small pump that comes with the pool is hardly worth having. This upgrade really is worth the price and saves me so much time. It makes having the pool as relaxing and enjoyable as it should be. The delivery time was only 5 days which was a pleasant surprise.

Bought this pump to replace the one that came with the 18 x 48" easy set pool. This is the pump that should have came with pool! It actually has suction & works great at cleaning the pool. Still need to use a vacuum to clean the bottom of pool, but not nearly as often. Would definately upgrade to this pump if you have the 18x48 pool, is well worth it!

I purchased this unit to replace the smaller weak stock filter pump that came with my 18x48 easy set pool. This unit is VERY strong! It even cleaned up the debris off the bottom without even vacuuming the pool! I highly recommend this pump to anyone tired of messing with the under powered pumps that come with the easy set pools. Caution should be used around children however, as this pump could cause a suction hazard.
