Product Description Basic 40pc Block set (assorted sizes and colors). Award-winning ImagiBRICKS Giant Building Blocks are an enduring classic that offer endless play possibilities because they are versatile (build with them, jump over them, crash into them) and safe. Constructed of lightweight corrugated cardboard, if the blocks tumble, no one gets hurt! The blocks are printed with non-toxic inks and with their water-resistant coating are strong and durable for years of creative play. Because Imagibricks are b unit blocks , they can even be used to teach basic math skills. The blocks come in three sizes and colors and are available in various sets: the large red brick is 12 x 6 x 3 inch, the medium yellow brick is 6 inch x 6 inch x 3 inch, the small blue brick is 6 inch x 3 inch x 3 inch.
Teacher Review Little ones with a knack for building and creative play will be drawn to these lightweight and durable cardboard building blocks. A staple item in many preschools, this set can spark endless imaginative play as children build large, life-size structures. Builders practice mathematical skills as they add the number of blocks stacked on top of each other, and the various-sized blocks can facilitate a conceptual understanding of fractions. When kids are developmentally ready, parents can encourage them to discover that one large red block is the same size as two medium yellow blocks or four small blue blocks. Made from 50 percent recycled cardboard, the blocks have a smooth, water-resistant coating that's easy to clean. These blocks won a Parents' Choice Classic Award and a Dr. Toy Classic Award. One word of caution: Make sure there's enough storage space to hold all 40 blocks once assembled. --Lauren Bernard, mother and elementary school teacher

Lots of fun ... January 29, 2008 These are great blocks, sturdy for their size and easy to put together. Our grandson is only one, and just enjoyed knocking them over, but we expect lots of fun with them the next few years.
Because there are so many smaller blocks in this set, we also bought a separate set of 16 large (red) blocks. This provided plenty to build a rather large structure, and even the adults enjoyed building with them.
Awesome long lasting fun November 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These blocks are great. Yes, you have to assemble them yourself but once you do one, it's really easy. My kids got these for Christmas last year and the whole family was putting them together. The blocks take up room but we stack them along the wall in the playroom. The kids play with them all the time and every time friends come over they flock to the blocks. They have these in my son's preschool classroom, too, and he still plays with them there even though he has them at home. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old (boys) and their rough and tumble friends playing with them all the time for 1 year, including jumping off of them. My older son has even strapped them to his feet and walked around the house on them a few times pretending to be Frankenstein and they are still fine. These are a great investment.
Build the bed up. October 4, 2007 We got a new mattress for out bed, and it was to low, we needed somthing to bring it up. The blocks worked just great. Just assembled them, spread them out under the mattress and we were at the right level, and very secure. Probably not the intended use, but they work just GREAT.
For a little older child. May 13, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got these for my daughter - 20mos - and feel she'll like them more when she's just a little older. I didn't realize you had to put them together yourself and just how much room they take up when put together. They're great for the imagination, but I think because I am the one that put them together, they aren't folded tightly and don't necessarily stay stacked on top of each other well. But I would recommend them for others, just be sure to find some space for them.
