Product Description This Eyewitness kit is a fascinating, educational, and creative introduction to the world of whales. Discover what all whales have in common as well as the differences between the Blue, Orca, and Sperm whale. Cast and paint their bodies for yourself as well as for your friends. Become a whale expert! Glue and magnets are provided to display your creations.
Editorial Review Did you know that the sperm whale has one of the largest brains of any creature on earth? That the blue whale's heart is the size of a small automobile? The Eyewitness Whale Kit gives children hands-on learning about the largest creatures on earth. Inspired by the colorful photography in the Eyewitness book, Whale, this kit includes one whale tooth and everything you need to create painstakingly detailed molds of blue, orca, and sperm whales. The enclosed instruction booklet contains amazingly informative reading about each type of whale. Using the plasterlike PerfectCast molding material, kids can cast their favorite, paint it, and then attach magnets to display their 7-inch masterpiece on the refrigerator. Parents will want to advise children that their painting efforts probably won't match the professionally rendered examples in the book. --Lisa Whipple

| Customer Reviews:
cast an animal kits January 14, 2008 the animals once casted & painted are more for flat display the stand-up display & play. Mom did the casting part for 5 & 8 year olds then they painted. Horse legs seem to be thiner then rest of horse so when taken out of mold will probably break off. Still a great idea & kids will enjoy.
