This chest protector is an excellent purchase! It fits my 12 yr old son perfectly and is extremely well made. I was nervous about the design, but he loves it!

My son just finished his early summer team and this protector was great. He says it is light weight and very comfortable. He took many wild pitches off of the chest and said he hardly felt a thing. It is easy to adjust and simple to put on and he was able put it on alone. The kidney pads and shoulder pads are removable and adjustable with some really strong velcro.
My son is 11 and plays 3 times a week. i bought him his own gear this year due to bad quality of the teams gear. They bought 9 of these for the other kids to use in the other age levels and supplied his team with 2. Buy your child a hockey type helmet they will be happy you did.
