Made out of 100 percent cotton Dourada fabric, the foundation of Gramicci's Natural Comfort Technology the shorts will wear through years of hard play. Dourada is an incredibly durable, double ring spun stout weave twill that will stand up to rock scrambling, crawling around under the house, trekking off-road through deep woods, and serious backyard lounging for many, many seasons. About Gramicci
It's the early 1980s: MTV and stone-washed jeans; movies like Bladerunner, Diner, and Ghandi rule. Mike Graham, inspired by a love of surfing and climbing, launched Gramicci from his garage in Southern California. He designed the now-famous gusseted crotch and cinch/release belted G-pant and short that have become legend in the outdoor community.  Make your summer more comfortable July 14, 2008
If you are like me, you have tried lots of different shorts. Different brands, different materials. These original Grammicci shorts are the most comfortable shorts you will find (once you have worn them a couple of months). If I am not going to be getting wet or jogging, you will find me wearing these.
My only complaint is that they eventually give out sooner than I would like. I am not ready to let go of them when my wife says she has patched a pair for the last time. Like any good cotton canvas-type pant, the longer you wear them, the better they feel. About the time they are soft as silk, they fall apart.
 What a great hiking short June 10, 2008
Simplicity is the order of the day with this short - tough,comfortable, basic. How many times have you snagged yourself on the gusset in the pocket of your overly-fancy hiking short? Not with the Gramicci short. This dude was out hiking or climbing when they went to hand out the stupid fancy features!
If I could make it better I would find a way to make the right pocket where my keys and pocket knife and change tougher. Other than that, this is my favorite short - no question.
