5 out of 5 stars Great search and spot game   January 6, 2009
This has great story and searching games! Use story for younger kids to play and search only mode for the older kids and adults too.

3 out of 5 stars An ok game.   January 6, 2009
This wasn't a bad game. I wouldn't recommend it to people that are looking for a challenge.

5 out of 5 stars Great Game   January 6, 2009
This game was recommended to me by a good friend and I purchased it. I just love it. In fact, I like it so much, I purchased another one for a co-worker and she can't stop thanking me. She really enjoys it, too.

2 out of 5 stars I don't understand the rave reviews; I found it tedious!   January 6, 2009
I don't think I have ever reviewed a game before, but my complete bewilderment on why this game is so highly praised when I found it completely tedious and random compelled me.

The graphics are nicely done but as for the gameplay -- I found it redundant and not challenging at all. The whole game reminded me of the Children's magazine Highlights - The Hidden Pictures. Yes, it can be fun for a little while, but to do the same thing over and over again? It bothered me that the items you needed to find were chosen completely at random. It would have been nice if, as a detective, you are finding real clues and not just searching for stars, shoes, etc. The puzzles were also not too challenging (and also made no sense with the story) and I especially hated the DNA sequence game. Maybe as 26 year old, I am reading way more into it than I should for a game that is probably left best for children or for those who just want something mindless to occupy their time -- but I couldn't help it. I want the setting and story lines to match the activities I am performing whereas in Millionheir, again, everything seemed completely random.

I finished in a day and I found myself just wanting to get to the end already to find out what happened. The storyline is OK in that I wanted to know who the villain would turn out to be.

Overall I don't think this game is challenging, smart, or interesting but if you are looking for something easy/simple to do then you may enjoy it. I also think it is better suited for children. I probably won't play it again and I can't imagine anyone going through this more than twice.

4 out of 5 stars It's not long enough!   January 5, 2009
When I got this game, I had expected that the mystery would be a bit longer and it would keep me entertained for a longer period of time. Well, that is definitely the biggest disappointment of this game.

The game is set up like a story. There are 10 chapters in this story and for each chapter, you are to search rooms for clues and talk to suspects in the case. At the end of investigating each suspect you have some sort of mini game to complete. You either have to put together a puzzle, you have to slide picture pieces to put a puzzle back together or you have to do things like dust for finger prints.

The puzzles are relatively easy to complete. I feel as if the puzzles in this game are pretty much made for everyone to do and enjoy. The game isn't that hard to complete at all, just time consuming sometimes, especially if you play the game too long and get tired of staring at the screen.

All in all, this is a really fun game, but it's not a game that you'll really feel like completing again. You can play quick mode however and still find items after you have finished story mode, and you can play amongst friends and family, but since there is only one mystery that is pretty easy to solve, it's not something that can be enjoyed again and again.
