Crappy Backlight.. It goes out... August 1, 2008 So my husband bought this for me because we are both stationed in iraq and instead of having a lot of photos sitting around, he thought this would be perfect for me to set on my desk. It was a great product for about a month. It was nice because I share my desk and instead of him having to look at MY photo's, he could just put it on the "clock" mode and it was perfect. BUT.. Here comes the downer. The backlight of this product went out. It was never dropped. I made sure that it was not, it was planted very firmly onto my desk. But one day I came to work and my co-worker said that it just went out. I know it is my backlight because I can still see the photo's scroll across but they are VERY dark I can barely see it. I would return it but 1. my husband bought it and 2. I've already had it for a little over a month now and you cannot return it after so long. So I give this a rating of CRAP! because I really didn't even get to enjoy it. So now I am going to have to find another one. So just keep in mind that the backlight may go out on you...
Awesome July 26, 2008 I was very pleased with how fast th shipping was, It was a great seller!
It would be a nice product, if it worked July 15, 2008 The first time I turned this on, I thought that all the other reviews were going to be proven wrong. Nope. After a few minutes, the frame locked up and the only way to fix it was to unplug it. This frame works but not consistently. I recommend spending the extra few dollars and buying something name brand.
Great Gift July 13, 2008 Got it as a gift - excellent purchase! Love all the features too...you get to add music to each picture if you want :-)
Great product at a good price July 13, 2008 I bought the frame with a 1GB SD flash card. Then, it took me 5 minutes to resize 300+ picture into 640 X 480 resolution using the "edit Picture" function in MSFT's picture management tool (following a previous reviewer's excellent input). Remember to create a separate folder and copy pictures into that folder for resize, as picture management tool tends to overwrite the original jpg files with the resized / updated ones.
I loaded some mp3 files and the frame works flawlessly. The only gripe I have is that there are side bars not used on the frame. Probably, it can be resolved by pre-zooming pictures through the picture tool. Remote has "Zoom" function. But when you turn on zoom function, the slideshow ends.
Overall, considering what I got and what I paid, I give it a 5 stars. You can't beat 59 dollars while a Sony 9" frame goes for 240 dollars as comparison
