Decent tripod for the price. October 1, 2008 Although it has nothing to do with the word "professional", it IS a decent tripod for the price it is sold. Could be a good tripod just to try, in case you are a beginner and don't really know what you want from it.
It works September 22, 2008 It's cheap, but it does what it's supposed to do. Easy open and close, holds the camera steady. Doesn't make pizza, but it's a tripod.
Great Price and Very Practical September 19, 2008 I do not have much experience with tripods other than the ones I have used in my photography class. This one is so much better in that it is really light, compact, and extremely tall. I am about 6 foot three inches and I have to stand on something if I want to look through my camera's viewfinder when it is at full length. It even comes with a nice little bag so it makes it easier to carry around when I have my camera bag with me. I have taken some great moon shots with this as well. I definitely recommend this to anyone on a budget.
Mine was broken the first day, but it had some "help" September 14, 2008 Yep, broke the first day. When my back was turned my 5-year-old got a hold of it and one of the parts snapped off. It didn't render it unusable, but in the weeks since (I've had it about 6) it's becoming more flimsy by the day. I'm actually on Amazon to look into getting a better one.
Thought it was good .. Doesn't Hold Up Over Time July 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought December 20th 2007. Seemed like a decent enough tripod at the time. But now it's pretty much unusable. The gray crank wheel has broken off, so it's hard to raise and lower. Also, one of the metal supports for one leg had broken off from the center. So even though it has some solid construction, there are indeed some weak parts, that after time are likely to fail.
