1 out of 5 stars Oravet - Absoluletly Pets   December 9, 2008
Do not use Absolutely Pets I ordered one item of oravet on 11/23 and finally on December 5th after still not receiving this product they promised to ship one right away well they did not and I had to call again on 12/9 which I was promised to have the product by. My dog has gone without treatment for two weeks DO NOT USE THEM. The only reason they received one star because would not accept preview without any stars.

5 out of 5 stars Great results in Clinic   October 28, 2008

Making the gums dry works wonder to help the gel stick to the teeth. In fact they will feel "squeaky" and waxy afterward when the pet has had a chance to try to get some of it off.
What works best for me and the clients at my clinic is finding an applicator that works for you! I hate the applicators that come with it... in fact I think it's faster and easier to use my fingers before my dog has her tongue all over the place. A little gauze or cotton ball works great for others. Our vets also warm up the gel by putting the cartridge into warm/hot water before opening it for use -- this will make the wax more of a liquid goo and it works just as well (but again you have to make sure it sticks by making the gums dry... try wiping the top surface dry of one side, applying, and then going on to the other sides)
I hope this helps... I really do like this product a lot :) it's non-toxic, has no none side effects, and less time consuming yet it still does justice by pet home dental care standards! Even our holistic doctors love this stuff -- and there are safety studies and efficacy research to back up the product's claims :)
If anyone has any issues using it just ask your vet! Trust me... they will be thrilled you are taking care of your pets teeth (I apply this in the clinic for our clients ALL the time with a big ol' smile!)

5 out of 5 stars OraVet Treatment for Dogs   August 25, 2008
I have been using this on my dog's teeth for almost a year now. When his teeth are cleaned again next year, we'll see if it is worth it. Easy to use and my pet likes having his teeth "brushed". Got so expensive from the vet, this is wonderful to be able to get online at a much more resonable price.

1 out of 5 stars How can you tell it's working??   January 8, 2008
How can you tell it this stuff is working? It gets all gummy and doesn't stay where I put it. It just rolls around on the little foam tipped instrument that comes with it for application. It doesn't stay on my dog's teeth because it doesn't come off the applicator It seems kind of futile and useless. Any advice on how to apply it?

4 out of 5 stars Save dogs teeth   September 27, 2007

This product was advised by our vet to assist in slowing down the decay of teeth in our dog. Once a week waxing on the teeth and daily brushing as well as getting our dog's teeth cleaned when needed has been great for bad breath too. I recommend.
