This comb helps detangle the fine, silky hair on my show Maltese. You do need to use it carefully so as not to pull out too much hair, but with caution it works better than any other comb I have tried, and I have tried a lot of them. If you just pull it though the matted hair, it will pull out too much hair, same as any comb. But being careful with it and doing it gently, the rolling teeth work better than other combs. I am ordering several for friends!
