Royal Canin Growth Formula is designed to provide kittens with the nutrition they need during the important growth and development stages of their lives. From the weaning stage on, kittens require a diet rich in animal protein and low in carbohydrates. Kittens have particularly delicate digestive systems and don't yet produce, in sufficient quantities, the enzyme needed to digest carbohydrates. Royal Canin Growth Formula is highly palatable and digestible, and its shape and texture is specially designed for easy chewing. Perfect for queens, too. Gestating and lactating queens also require a diet that has additional protein. Royal Canin Growth Formula is an ideal food for them, since it has the protein levels they need and is also rich in calories. Growth Formula Recommended Feeding Guide: When changing your pet's diet, gradually mix food over a five to seven day period, increasing daily the amount of new food added so that 100% of the new food will be provided to the pet by day seven. Food may be served right out of the bag or moistened with water, if desired. You may wish to leave a daily portion of dry cat food out and available at all times so that cats may feed themselves.
