I dont know but looked like a defected piece, i had to go to bed bath and beyong and buy another one and amazon did not accept to take it back

My wife and I were shopping for Brita filters at the store down the street and I was pretty scared when I saw these filters were the only they had. What I basically thought was, oh man, Brita has made a new filter and we are all going to have to upgrade. HOW WRONG I WAS ABOUT THAT. BRITA HAS TOTALLY OUTDONE THEMSELVES WITH THIS FILTER!!! NOT ONLY DOES THE FILTER SAY: NEW! NOUVEAU! ON IT, BUT IT IS ALSO CHROME PLASTIC INSTEAD OF WHITE. THIS MORE THAN JUSTIFIES PAYING THE REGULAR PRICE FOR THE FILTER INSTEAD OF THE USUAL DEEPLY DISCOUNTED PRICES WE WERE PAYING A MONTH OR SO AGO!!GO AMAZON!! GO BRITA! WHAT WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT??? 5 stars cos 4 would be too few..
