The birds like it. It's easy to clean and fill. And it doesn't get icky like my plastic feeders did.

I've tried several feeders and prefer this one so much that I bought three! The capacity is good for 3-4 days of fresh food for the hummers, it doesn't leak (!!!), and the clean, classic style looks good. I hesitated to switch out an older feeder that the birds loved, but the birds started using this one right away! They use the perch and just sit for a while. Only the underbase is plastic, but it is covered with the copper plate with the feeding flowers and you don't see the plastic. Plus, it is very easy to clean. I highly recommend this feeder.
Metal ! Glass! Plastic? August 25, 2007
The feeder looks great and the hummingbirds love it so far. I purchased the feeder becuase it looked like and was advertised as metal and glass. I have a problem with squirels chewing away at plastic feeders and ruining them. I was supprised when I opened the box for this feeder and found a plastic base beneath the metal top. I hope my rodent population is not observant enough to find the plastic to chew on.

I ordered the feeder pictured above. The company sent me a totally different one. They said that it was Amazons fault, they had the wrong picture. Then they said they don't carry the one pictured. WASSUP???
