Cool accessory August 11, 2008 It was everything it sold itself as. The unit cooled so well that when I left it in my office over a weekend, it froze a can of soda. The 110v-12v converter is well worth the extra cost.
It actually works!! July 25, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
You might think that you can't ask much for a cooler at this price, but this one really delivers!
I use it daily, and have had no problems keeping my lunch and drinks cold, cold throughout the day! If I leave it in the truck and forget to unplug, it has it's own circuit breaker that will disconnect the unit well before it drains the battery over night.
Excellent product for an individual or two to "cycle" a canned (12 oz, 12 can capacity) drink supply throughout the day. Sure, it takes a while to cool a "resupply" down from ambient temps (1-2 hrs), but what the heck are you asking for?
Cold but not a freezer July 22, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Works best with already chilled items. Was hoping it would actually freeze ice but it won't. Works better on an AC/DC adapter than in a vehicle. If you buy this thing, either start with chilled items or run it overnite before putting it in your vehicle.
Great for long road trips! June 22, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Our family purchased this for a 16 hour road trip to Disneyland and it was so worth it! When you already have three cranky kids to deal with, not having to worry about ice and potential leaks or spills is such a load off. We did find that it worked best when we put already chilled items in it, (as well as a small freeze pack,) but it kept everything ice cold the entire 16 hours. It does a great job of keeping things cold. I can't speak to getting them cold or actually making ice, but from the convenience factor alone I'd say it's a great product!
