The common ice scraper has a flimsy blade that isn't tough enough for hard ice and a cheap handle that is awkward and tiring to use, plus it breaks easily. The IceDozer comes equipped with three powerful attack surfaces. The finely honed FrostPeeler Blade takes aim at stubborn frost, while the forward-facing IceBreaker Teeth concentrate the cracking force when tackling thicker ice. The carbide-style Tenderizers on the bottom of the IceDozer are designed to exploit the Achilles Heel of ice; its brittleness. Tapping sharply downward creates hairline fractures that make it much easier to rip ice from the windshield. Additionally, the forward-facing SnowPlow surface helps keep you dry and warm by bulldozing snow and ice away from your hands and sleeves.

I appreciated being able to throw my body weight behind the IceDozer. Unfortunately, this item is not very good at removing a thin coating of ice. It just slides over the thin stuff without removing much of it It's great at removing ice that's thick-enough to have an edge that the Dozer can bite into. I bought the dozer after a bad freezing rain storm that took me over 45 minutes to clear the ice off of my car. 2 similar storms have came since I received the product. Both times using it, I have been done scraping ice in less than 5 minutes and my morning commute was not delayed due to scraping ice. Most of the time big chunks come right off-its sweet. It almost seems that the ice hasn't been as tough as the first storm. I havent had any problems with the quality or durability. I use the corner of the blade to expose a little bit of windshield, then let the full blades do the rest with a little elbow grease. Ice comes off easily. No worries.IceDozer Plus

I recently reviewed this item and gave it a lower rating. I would like to change that because of the response I received from the company. I think that the way you handle problems is as important as the product, and I was more that satisfied with the repsonse.

My car was crusted in a thick coat of ice. I was trying to scrape thru w/my acrylic scraper w/little success...when I remembered I got the ice dozer plus for christmas. I reached in the back seat, started scraping, and was done in 2 mins clearing all windows perfectly bare. I was on my way. I have already recommmended several people to invest in this product.

did not work very good at all. used it once and my cheapo hand scraper that cost 2 bucks was superior
