Will not lift water above its top November 25, 2008 I bought this pump to transfer water from a 5 gal jug to my RV and it was a total failure. It cannot lift water more than a couple of inchs above its top and at a very reduced rate there. If you want to use it to transfer liquid from two level containers or if the receiving vessel is lower than the supply one, it will probably work ok.
Sierra battery transfer pump November 24, 2008 This is a great little light duty transfer pump I used to transfer fresh water from 5 gallon jugs to my water fill on my RV. A set of batteries lasted two seasons and I would guess about 800 gallons. Just the right length for the round five gallon jugs.
As advertised October 14, 2008 As advertised , amazing results, transfers water from 5 gal jug to pan for coffee in haste speed. Lets see how long a life it has. For the money, happy

If you're just going to use this item for water or gasoline, it'll do the job just fine. If you need to pump something heavier, like oil or shampoo. fuhgetaboutit. It has the potential to be really great if it had an AC electric motor. If anyone out there knows of a similar item with an AC motor, please email me at jshatchsr@atlanticbb.net. Thanks.
