Beware Memorex August 6, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I tried using Memorex DVD-R on my Sony Handycam DVD403 and it was a disaster, they got corrupted during use and we were in a remote location in Central America. I have never had a problem using the Sony discs.
Good disks, but uncompetitive price! May 31, 2004 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Once again, Sony has developed technology that wows the world, and allows us to capture every living moment on disk. I absolutely love the DVD line, but the disks are too pricey for the practical user. Instead, I would recommend Memorex 8cm DVD-RW disks. You get relatively the same product, from a reputable media provider, Memorex, at HALF THE PRICE! They are available on Amazon.com, and they are definetly a better alternative!

I use these in my new DVD100 camcorder (Sony). A bit overpriced for the discs, and I'm hoping generics will be on the market before I need more. But, they play in my Panasonic portable player (if recorded in VR format) without finalization being necessary... So we can watch movies of the day's action in the hotel room, which is a must for a Disney trip. So if you're not using an ancient DVD-ROM in your computer, or a low-priced DVD player, you would be able to play these with no problem, provided you have a recessed tray for the "smaller" disks to fit in, or a clip post.
