Product Description Keep your notebook cool! This Executive cooling pad for notebooks features three built-in 60 mm fans for easy thermal heat dissipation, keeping your notebook from getting too hot. Simply plug into your USB port! It's great for laptop users. Keeping your laptop cool can prevent all sorts of undesired symptoms caused by overheating, for example, locked or hung programs. It can be used either as a buffer for mobile users to isolate the hot bottom of laptop from your lap or keep your laptop cool if it is used as your main computer sitting on a desk running most of the day.3 fans once turned on will quietly whir the heat away from your laptop at a rate of 3000 RPM, producing 30 CFM of airflow. Hot air is sucked in from the bottom of the laptop and exhausted through the opening on the rear.

Don't confuse with the Dekcell model August 20, 2008 This cooling pad is very similar (I would say a knock off) to the one offered by Dekcell and available on Amazon with the title "USB Powered and Most Efficient Metal Cooler Pad with 3 Built-in Fans for Laptop Computer".
I use the Dekcell model at work and am satisfied with it, and wanted to order one for home use. Although I was the one who actually selected the one to order at work, I goofed up at home and ordered this Kinamax instead. They have basically the same design and the fans seem about the same strength, but the Dekcell has a nice aluminum frame and the Kinamax is somewhat flimsy plastic with sharp corners.
I'll keep this one, but hopefully others will read this review and choose the aluminum framed Dekcell instead.
Cool! August 9, 2008 This fan really works great. The laptops internal fan barely comes on. I use this on a Toshiba 17". Works great and for $15, an excellent value.
Does what it's supposed to August 9, 2008 Sort of a cheap product--the USB cable came with rust on the inside and the free hanging wires underneath leave more threat of being broken than is necessary. However, the fan does work and works well, and seems to be one of the best current options. A word of caution: don't have it plugged into your laptop while installing an operating system--I had mine running to keep the computer cool while it was installing vista and it froze, forcing me to restart the process.
Good August 9, 2008 It's working better that i think, it keep my laptop coldest and i don't need to preoccupation for my equipment bring hot anymore.
pretty good, especially for the price August 5, 2008 This is not at all a highly designed piece of equipment - it's plain gray plastic with three chrome fans amounted on it. However, it is comfortable designed for lap-based laptop use, as well as placing the machine at a convenient angle for typing. However, the main purpose is to cool the laptop (and keeping it from burning my lap), and it's doing this entirely effectively. It brought my CPU temp down from 67 to about 54 in a matter of about five minutes; hard drive temperature was slower to drop, but drop it did. It does drag the battery life on my MacBook down significantly, being USB-powered - I wouldn't suggest using it when you were battery dependent. It's definitely made work a lot more comfortable for the price, though!
