very pleased September 15, 2008 I do jewelry repair. I bought this fluorescent light and am very pleased with the quality and sturdiness of the product. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a good task light at a good price.
A Best Buy in Desk Lamps July 4, 2008 I was surprised when I received this lamp, because I had not expected such a sturdy, well made, quality lamp for the money it cost. It is also energy efficient because of the two lights built in - one circular tubular fluorescent, and another screw-in socket into which a low wattage fluorescent bulb fits nicely. Either bulb alone furnishes ample light for most tasks.
Great Desk Lamp for doing Homework/Cramming! January 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Picked this up in store. I clamped this onto a desk on my left side and keep it right over my head. The movement of this thing reminds of being at the dentist, though I've never shined it in front of my big mouth (lol). It does have a 2-bulb feature, one circline (circular) fluorescent bulb at 22W I think, and also has a socket in the center for "Type A" bulbs I think it supports up to 100W. I got rid of the coventional bulb in favor of a non-circline fluorescent bulb that looks like a small white slinky. If you get this lamp I suggest you install 2 fluorescent bulbs to accomodate the sockets. I got this during Finals Week this past Fall.
Good light. Some quality concerns. December 24, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Due to its dual bulbs (incandescent and fluorcescent), this lamp gives off a really high quality of light, and it's bright. Very pleasant for paperwork, drawing, etc. It's full-size (a little big really) and comes with a properly designed clamp for attaching to the edge of a desk or table.
The quality is not the best. The lamp rattles quite audibly when I just touch the table, and tiny flakes of paint keep falling from one of the rotating joints. Also I have to hold down the "start" button for a good couple of seconds to make the fluorescent bulb turn on, which is a nuisance.
If you can get better product at this price in the same category November 25, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you can get better product at this price in the same category, I would be happy to give you full refund.... This is the best.
I've owned more than three clamp on desk light but this one is the best. Little bigger than you see on the picture but it's worth. Very solid and stable joint unlike others. Fluorescent light is cost-saving and stunningly bright.
You will not regret, guaranteed.
