This 12-inch everyday pan will end up being the hardest working pan in your kitchen. Part of Calphalon's Commercial Hard-Anodized line of cookware, this pan is made of heavy-gauge aluminum that's uniformly thick across the bottom and sides, allowing for quick and even heat distribution. Its durable hard-anodized finish is stick- and scratch-resistant and won't react with acidic foods. The patented cast stainless-steel handles are comfortable to grip, plus they minimize heat transfer so handles stay cool on the stovetop. Handles are held in place by three sturdy stainless-steel rivets. The included hard-anodized lid is dome-shaped, making it ideal for moist-heat cooking. Very handy to have around August 4, 2008
This has been a very useful pan to have in the kitchen. Because of it's design it provides easy access to the entire cooking surface. It has been good for saute, sauces, frying, even stir fry. I do wish I had gotten non-stick, but that's just personal preference.

This is the first Calphalon that I have bought and I am very pleased. Awesome, is an understatement. You can cook anything in this pan. Like some of the reviews I have read, you should take care to read the care instructions on this pan. It will help in using it correctly and preventing damage. I will continue buying this brand from Amazon, because as you can see, I don't think anyone else an beat the price.

My error. I thought I was buying a non-stick type pan. Not so with this particular Calphalon line. It is a nice size, nice lid as well. Didn't notice it didn't have a single handle. Getting it to cook
properly has been a learning process. If you want non-stick avoid
this one.

This pan is wonderful! More than I even expected it to be, and WHAT an amazing value. It's big enough to work with and the hard-anodized composition allows food not to stick, without the worry that comes with Teflon products. I love this pan!
