I switched over from calcium carbonate to Citracal D because is is supposed to be better absorbed and it stated that it would not cause gas.
well someone lied to me. The gas is horrifying!!!And the constipation is just as bad. I am not taking it anymore! I have had to start taking stool softeners (which aren't strong enough alone)and add senna. And the gas is just horrible. No one will come into my office at work!! I perservered for 1 month but enough is enough!! And I am a pharmacist!!

I have read that the form of calcium in this supplement is more easily absorbed by your body than other forms of calcium. Add that to the Vitamin D and a few other minerals and you create the best supplement for easiest calcium absorption, and no gas! This product has what I believe to be the best combination for post-menopausal women. I take it twice a day and exercise regularly.

My doctor advised me to take this kind of Calcium and I think it is great. It is very easy to take and goes down very easily and does not irritate my stomach.
