Great for people who like noodles that taste like plastic! Hot red colored water included! January 18, 2007 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I was given these noodles as a gift from a coworker who could not stomach eating them again. I was optimistic because I will eat almost anything. These noodles, however, should not be considered food fit for human consumption. First off, the noodles are pure plastic, there is no natural substance in them whatsoever, as proven by anyone who tastes one. If you melted down tuperware into noodle shapes and then put them into a red colored water, you wouldn't be able to differentiate the difference between that and the "Taste of Thai" noodles. The sauce is non existent and is mostly just food coloring. The vacuum-sealed peanut shards are like eating small bits of dirt in a mixture of rust colored water and plastic strings. I could not finish more than a 1/3 of the box and threw the rest in the garbage, hoping it will someday breakdown in a landfill.
It is a great diet food though because the gag reflex from trying to eat this causes your digestive system to shut down for a few hours, thus saving 100's of calories.
I'd give it Zero stars if it would let me. January 11, 2007 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
First off, I was skeptical to try this product, but as a student who lived off Top Ramen before, figured it couldn't be that bad. The item was easy to make, but difficult to cook the noodles evenly. Then to the smell. The smell was God Aweful. Finally the taste test. I can honestly attest that I couldn't even stomache one bite. In fact, after the initial taste... my mouth rejected it and into the trash it went. My coworokers actually complained to the very rank smell eminating from the gabage can. I'd stay away from this one if possible.
Eh... December 12, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The sauce is far too sweet for my taste, and it's too difficult to adequately mix the ingredients in the box (you have to dig down to the bottom of the box to get everything stirred, and if you don't get it stirred right -- as I didn't -- you wind up with chunks of sauce glop sticking to the noodles).
Thai Kitchen makes a much better tasting version, with better packaging (a plastic bowl instead of a tall carton).

We live in the wilds of Michigan so I was hoping to fins a product that would approximate a Thai experience. This is too many carbs for one person and it didn't taste like Thai food.
Not as good as the other varieties November 18, 2006 I don't like this variety as much as the others, specifically the peanut or coconut ginger (those are great!). These are the only ones with a liquid sauce packet and it has sour taste to it.
