This pillow gets grade of "YUCK" December 22, 2008 I wasted $[...] bucks.
Frankly, I don't understand how people could like this "travel" pillow (I am saying "travel" sarcastically). I am a 6-foot tall guy and this pillow was too big for ME on a plane, much less what it would do to a smaller person. Its dimensions are 14-inches side-to-side x 13-inches front-to-back x 4.5-inches deep. This is definitely NOT for women, kids or 99% of men! Elephants maybe. For this pillow to fit, you'd have to be 9-feet tall! On the plane, the pillow was so enormous that it pushed my head forward and gave a serious neckache, so I'd call that "unusable." If I could have thrown it out of the plane's window as a piece of junk (crapola), I would have--that's what I felt like doing. This pillow is so huge that it needed its own dedicated carry-on bag. It doesn't knock-down when not used.
The pillow *might* be okay while prone at home. It is not a travel pillow--it's for home use. I give it the grade of "YUCK." I am donating it to Goodwill. Gonna look for "smaller" and "inflatable"--these cannot be worse.
Too little support, poor construction December 21, 2008 I didn't like this product at all. The whole problem with sleeping when you travel is the inability to recline fully. As a result, your head tends to fall forward. A good travel pillow should prevent this from happening. Unfortunately, this one does not. Since it snaps in front, there is *zero* chin support. I tried using it backwards, but it would slide down my chest because of the lack of body in back.
Worse, the construction is cheap. The velour cover on the memory foam became frayed within three months of purchase, with very light use. I think this product is poorly made, and doesn't even work as advertised before it breaks.
It works! December 21, 2008 This is a great item. We travel every yesr to the Carribean and it is a LONG flight (flights!) from Oregon. I looked at all kinds of travel pillows on Amazon and read dozens of reviews and decided on this one. It really works! It was so comfortable and I was able to sleep! The 2 of them (one for my husband and one for myself) took up a lot of room in our carryon, but it was well worth it.
best travel pillow I've used!! December 20, 2008 I bought this pillow because we were driving from New York to Florida (non-stop). I have used other pillows before on previous trips and this one is the BEST!! It is firm but soft at the same time. The key to this design is that it snaps together in the front so it doesn't SLIP AWAY from you as you sleep. So glad I found this pillow. Does have a "smell" to it, but just air it out before you use it.
Too thick December 8, 2008 this in theory would be a great pillow but its just too thick and unless you have a desirable yet rare swan neck this may not be the pillow for you.I have what I feel is an average length neck and the thickness of this pillow makes it just too much to get comfy-I received it last week and then flew 15hrs and this pillow ended up not being of use-had to use a funky plane pillow-blech.
